Happy Halloween

This Halloween Emma you wanted to be a princess but not just any princess. You had to be Cinderella! Yep that is mommy's favorite princess too!

Robby you were Thomas the train. Of course your favorite!

This Halloween we were living at Nana and Papa's house. It was very cold out, Robby was done trick or treating after about 12 houses and Emma you wanted to keep going. I think you just loved the CANDY! Maybe next year we will get to trick or treat in our own subdivision.

The big MOVE

Well we have moved out of our Lansing house. The kids are doing really well and are very adjusted as they always do. It will be long months as we prepare to build the new house. The kids have already asked if the builder has built our house! They are too funny but adjusted to their new life.

Robby's nose

Robby you can smell everything. You smell better than Mommy can. Today I was making brownies and you walked into the kitchen and said "What is cooking"? Sometimes you smell the bad smells like in the bathroom and you make us hold your nose. Pu! You are just like your uncle Matt with your smells.

Quote I thought I would share...

Sometimes I get the opportunity to read, only sometimes. As I was reading this quote stood out to me and I know I will think of it often as you continue to grow.

It will be gone before you know it. The fingerprints on the wall will appear higher and higher. Then suddenly they disappear. - Dorothy Evslin

I am looking at my messy house, scratched walls and dirty floors. I know that someday my house will not look this way and then I will miss it. Robby and Emma you have taught me to be a real mom. You are happy and my house is messy. Love you always...

Tameling family photo shoot

Just stay little...

Some days you are truly breaking my heart. I wish that you could just stay little. You have changed so much since the begining of the summer. You both pedal your bikes around everywhere. I think my favorite part about your summer is watching you chase butterflies and bugs. You show so much excitement for one little insect. Emma you love to say "turn it louder" when we are in the car listening to music. Robby you always tell me that you are growing bigger and you are right I see it more and more everyday. God has given me 2 precious gifts to take care of and you make me proud to be your mom!

Your first VBS!

Robby and Emma's first vacation Bible School at Munster CRC. Both of you thought the first 3 days were a lot of fun but then you wanted mommy. Good thing mommy could go into your classroom for the last 2 days. Robby did a great job of singing at the progam. Emma you were too shy to sing in front of everyone. You both LOVED the music and the motions to the songs.

Our campground for the weekend, Twin Mills!

Robby had his first fall into the pond while he was fishing. He went in head first, mommy was there to save him. I am surprised it has not happened sooner!

We went camping for the weekend in Shipshewana. We had fun time looking around town and watching the horses pull the buggys.

Tonight was the Burger Bash car show at Church. You jumped in the jump house and got a balloon from the clown. We stayed by papa's car for a while.

Riding the Train at Fair Oaks Dairy Farm. Robby was ringing the bell!

You both loved driving the tractors. What could be better than a John Deere?

Today we went to Fair Oaks Dairy Farm. It was sucha good time for both of you. We watched a 3D movie. Robby said "my favorite part is when the cow pooped"! Yep he did poop in the movie. Emma did not want to wear her 3D glasses. But liked the part when the water squirted her throughout the movie.

Friday, July 10, 2009

Tonight we went to the Gary Air show. We had a picnic and watched the planes. Emma was scared of the noisy ones but she liked the one that looked purple. Robby liked them all.

Thursday, July 9, 2009

Emma you love to dress up. Lately you only will wear one of your nightgowns to bed, not even pants. It is so great that you are a girl...mommy loves it!
Today Robby and Emma went to their first movie. We made it through the whole thing! One hour and 30 minutes! We saw Kung Fun Panda and the best part was that it was FREE! We had a great time.

Robby loves the sparklers. He even liked daddy's big fireworks!

Watching daddy do the fireworks. Finally we don't have to wear rain coats and we can show off our red, white, and blue!

Big sparklers are so fun! Emma is wearing earphones around her neck she found these at Nana's house...she said "fireworks are too loud"! So she walked around with those on.
It was a rainy 4th of July but Roby and Emma did not notice the rain. They kept waving at the parade. If Robbby stopped waving Emma would tell him to keep waving. She REALLY liked getting the candy!

We went to Beecher's carnival and rode the smiley train. Robby loves to ride any kind of train.

Thursday, July 2, 2009

Emma loves to fish and to pose!

Robby riding the bench on the merry go round. He did not like riding the horses.
Emma loved to ride the purple horse.

We love chocolate!

Eating my chocolate at Hershey PA after the chocolate ride.

Sir Top Em Hat at the Day out with Thomas. Yep the kids were still scared of the costumed characters. I think daddy was even a little scared of this one.

Emma and daddy fishing at the pond. This is where we camped in PA. We spent a whole day trying to catch somehting but caught nothing. The kids liked throwing bread to the fishes the best. They think their tackle boxes are for keeping the bread!

Thomas the train going by. Robby's favorite!

Meeting cookie Monster at our lunch with the characters. The came right up to our table!

Wednesday, July 1, 2009

The kids saying goodbye to PA. This is a picture of our camper. We love it! The kids love it! We can't wait to take even more trips...and make more memories!
All of the trees we trimmed in the shape of the characters. It was a hot day and we were ready to go home but mom wanted one more picture in the matching outfits.
"Thomas took us for a ride and he has lots of WAGONS"! Robby tells everyone he meets about riding on his favorite train.

Can you tell me how to get to Sesmae Street. This is one of my favorite pictures from our trip to PA. We had a blast. The kids loved it! They were so, so good. Although, they were scared of the characters as you can see from the pictures.

Mommy tells me all the time how handsome I am!

Saturday, June 6, 2009

Our house is for sale. We have had LOTS of people through but are still awaiting the first offer. Robby loves to help lown the lawn with daddy.

Sunday, May 31, 2009

We turned 3 on May 31st. It is hard to believe time has gone so quickly. We had a Mickey Mouse birthday party. Mommy has everyone sing happy birthday to each of use so we each get our own song even though we have to share our day.

Saturday, May 30, 2009

The day of our birthday party. Robby is now 38 inches tall and Emma is 35 inches tall. This is the farthest apart in heaight and weight that they have ever been. Robby grew 6 inches in the past year. But surprisingly their feet have stayed the same size for a whole year!

We went camping in Pentwater, MI with some friends over the Mmeorial Day weekend. The water was cold but we had a great time. I think we brough most of the sand back with us!
